'Spark' - Outdoor Sculpture
Mirror polished marine grade stainless steel with automotive coating, 2023
Installed at the Seaport Science Center, Boston Seaport District, MA
“A scribble represents a spontaneous artistic gesture that occurs at the inception of an idea. Spark captures two convergent scribbles frozen in time. The sculpture demonstrates the genesis of what could be and how collaboration enables innovation in art, science, and technology.
A nod to Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism, two sweeping gestures to unite and reflect clarity in an intricate world. Interlocking scribbles memorialize the core of an idea while serving of a reminder of possibilities ahead.”

In 2023, the Savannah College of Art and Design commissioned one of my Scribble Wall Sculptures at large scale for the ground level of the River Residence Hall at the Savannah campus.
Measuring over 12' wide, it took some engineering to create a piece at this size, splitting it into three sections. It ended up fitting together seamlessly, looks fantastic in the space, and is viewable from the street.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We invite viewers to explore how perception shifts with perspective. Bold patterns, vibrant colors, and intricate linework transform the gallery into a dynamic space where what you see changes as you move. Each piece challenges the idea of a fixed viewpoint, revealing new dimensions from every angle. This exhibition encourages discovery, inviting you to engage with art in a constantly evolving visual experience.
